1949 Meck model XQA, 12" TV. All the knobs are original, two have dings. Cosmetics of the wood cabinet are only fair to good overall with some scratches, nicks, couple tiny veneer chips and obvious finish loss. Most of the wear is on top of the cabinet. The cabinet back and AC plug are long gone, speaker is a replacement and it has several cracks and repairs. The picture tube hold-down strap is broken off at one end and will need to be welded or brazed.

Chassis was partially recapped. Notice there is surface rust on the top side of this chassis. I did not test the electronics or any of tubes except what appears to be a GE 12KP4 picture tube that has a loose end cap/plug, the glue has dried out. Sencore CR70 picture tube test results: H-K Shorts - Good, G1 Shorts - Good, Cutoff - Low/Bad, Emissions - Bad, Life Test Bad. There are no scratches on the face of this tube. The picture tube most likely will not work. It might come back to life by rejuvination. If you don’t want to take a chance on it, that is fine with me. I will subtract $50 from the final sale price and adjust the shipping costs.

I buy, sell and collect vintage TV’s, I do no electronic restorations/repairs. I am selling this set as pictured, as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns. This 70+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use. The important thing is the chassis is all there with no known missing electronic parts.

Pick-up is strongly suggested
