This is an antique Chinese Mar Jong set of tiles - 148 Tiles - Dove Tail Bamboo backing

I do not know the game or the meaning of the tiles - passed down within an Asian family - very old with obvious patina and age

I do not know what the tiles are made of, but I do not believe they are Bakelite, they seem to be an organic material

They are more white than yellow and have some darker veins running throughout
