This auction is for a pair of custom made aftermarket rear bumper support foams for the Ford Mondeo MK3. They will fit the MONDEO ST TDCI. Ford recognised that the MK3 Mondeo suffered with exessive hanging on the rear bumpers and this caused the 2 small brackets that are located inside the bootlid opening to snap and break when leaned upon etc and make the bumper sag down. The condition is know in Ford circles as "saggy a**e" syndrome. In extreme cases the weight of the bumper sagging down can make it come off the car. These are custom made by a local company and supplied to me. They are totally unavailable from Ford anymore as they withdrew them from production long ago. This local company has started to remake their own version of them to help out Mondeo owners. They are priced at the same price you would have paid at a Ford dealership so they are a great bargain especially as the ST rear bumpers can cost £500 plus painting and even standard rear bumpers can be £200 plus painting. They are made from a marine grade expandable polyurethane foam so have great water repelling properties. The are simply attached to the rear of the car just under the car's rear lights by a bodyshop grade mastik such as SIKAFLEX or TIGERSEAL and will need to be sanded to the finishing shape by hand as every car and bumper sits differently. This is not unusual as you have had to do this even with ones supplied by Ford. Please note that these are a custom made item and are poured to order, As such they are not covered under the distance selling regs for returnable items and no returns are accepted on this item at all so please be sure before you order.
