This beautiful grape leaf wine cooler, standing 1" tall and scaled perfectly for a 1:12 dollhouse or display is an impressive and highly collectible piece modeled after an Old Sheffield style Regency period Campana form piece that would have been used circa 1830 to keep bottles of wine or champagne cool. It is decorated with a grape and leaf rim that overhangs the body. The body is decorated with a slight twist down to a bulbous center with two handles all decorated with acorns and leaves. An especially rare piece for your entertaining scenes, this is VERY RARE, numbered 30 of only 75 that were ever made. It is very heavy for its size due to being solid silver. It is signed on the underside. I am including the glass wine bottle as well for you!
This is an extremely RARE and special piece created by the talented IGMA Fellow/miniaturist, Harry Smith, who has been creating miniature masterpieces since 1950. Harry has a lengthy process to create his sterling silver miniatures entirely by hand. His process includes carving an original master in wax, based on original drawings; casting the wax in plaster; filling the resulting mold with molten silver; polishing the master and then creating a rubber mold; injecting the mold with wax and repeating the process all over again. After the final casting is made, it must be carved to add final details. It is in absolute perfect, never displayed condition.
