Very long Christening coat in cream colored wool. Features attached capelet with elaborate machine embroidery and ruching at neck, beige moire ribbons (ribbons appear to be strictly decorative.)

Narrow collar with satin underside.

Cuffed sleeves

Coat has yoked breast and ruching, with same elaborate embroidery as capelet.

Closes with fancy MOP buttons

Lined in white satin and brown cotton (or silk?). There may be an additional layer of lining because the coat is quite thick and warm. Even the lining is ruched.

Mixture of hand and machine stitching

Condition: Tiny pinhead sized hole near ruching on capelet; not more than a dozen tiny scattered brown marks on capelet--not readily noticeable. Cluster of 3 small (1/8" at most) holes on back of coat. Light soiling around hem--could probably use a soak--I have not laundered this piece in any way.
