A really wonderful pair of antique women's shoes.  Vintage circa 1930s to 1940s, these are those great sturdy heeled walking shoes, Oxfords of lustrous black leather, with lace ups fronts with a pretty scalloped edging on the lace area and nice cut outs for added style, some decorative stitches on the shoes too.  Leather soles, and kid leather lining.  Very clean and in very good shape with only light signs of wear.  Interior is  marked 360, 1005 (M?) and under that is looks like a faded "7"  and "me".  On the foot bed in faded lettering I can make out "arch supporting" and "combination last", both signs of a well made shoe.  I wear a size 7 and they fit me well, but are a bit on the narrow side for my old lady fat foot.  i WISH they fit me!  Please see the measurements and ask if you need more details.

Measurements:  Across the bottom of the sole on the outside of the shoes, at the widest point it is 3" wide.  Interior inside the foot bed, from back of heel to toe is  9 1/4".    Heels are 2" high.

We used to call these "nun's shoes" and "grandma shoes" back in the 1970s.  These are well made and really nice to wear with your vintage attire.

Thank you!
