This sweet vintage hand embroidered cotton CHILD'S VOGUE VOGART "THERE WAS AN OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE" BED COVERLET SPREAD measures approximately 32 3/4"w x 42"l...perfect for any nursery decorating display!  Once popular in the 1940's/1950's these shaded designs were sold as kits and were meant to be outlined & finished with embroidery.  This piece features the OLD WOMAN of nursery rhyme fame feeding her many children, the design all neatly embellished with embroidery in a variety of colors.  NOTE:  The white embroidery used for the Old Woman's cap & apron strings are difficult to see in photos, but are complete and not missing.  Machine stitched 1/4"w pink edging all the way around, front & back.  This one-of-a-kind piece is fresh & clean and shows no holes, tears, stains, fading or repairs.  Some very minor age related surface/edge wear as shown in photos.  All colors and details are sharp & clear.  A SWEET addition to any VINTAGE CHILD'S COVERLET/EMBROIDERED TEXTILE/BEDROOM DECORATING collection!  Buyer pays shipping.  Please check my other auctions for MORE interesting items!
