This is a vintage charm for American University. The eagle is nicely detailed, and is sitting on a book that has "American" on its spine. It is not marked for silver content, and I believe it is just silver tone. It measures 7/8 of an inch high and 3/4 of an inch at its widest and weighs 5.6 grams.
