1952 P Uncirculated Commemorative Silver Half Dollar +++

The George Washington Carver-Booker T. Washington Half Dollar was designed by Isaac Scott Hathaway. The obverse depicts side-portraits of George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington and the reverse shows a simple outline map of the United States of America superimposed with the letters "U.S.A.", and the words "Freedom and Opportunity for All/Americanism" around the rim. It was minted in silver from 1951 until 1954.

The bill authorizing the coins was pushed by the George Washington Carver National Monument Foundation, and eventually passed on September 21, 1951, authorizing the mintage of a maximum 3,415,631 coins.

The coin is .900 silver and .100 copper. It weighs 12.6 grams and is 2.15 mm thick. The diameter is 30.61mm. The silver content is .36169 troy ounce.

This Uncirculated 1952 Silver Half Dollar pictured is a well struck coin. It is very bright and shines in light and unmarred. The reeded edge is clean, and I see no flaws on the edge or the obverse or reverse.

I photograph my coins at different exposures and angles to allow close examinationMy pictures are never photoshopped and are of the coin the winning bidder will receive.  I never clean or alter my coins.  What you see is what you will get.

My pictures are typically over exposed to show details. There are shadows created by the lighting, raised edge and high relief of the faces. I see no tarnish on this coin. It was hard to photograph because of the brightness of it. The camera can pick up flaws the eye can’t see. I try to describe each coin accurately but always rely on the pictures.

My pictures are of the coin the winning bidder will receive.

Typos can happen or my 83-year-old eyes can trick me so always rely on the pictures for your final decision.

My wife said sell my collection as if/when I boot out she would have no idea what to do with it. My coins are from my 35+ year personal collection.
