Foxy Brown aka Coffy aka Pam Grier Painting 16" x 20"

I'm a sucker for a strong leading lady and Pam Grier has it all. I love so many of her early characters that were tough, sexual and driven. There was so much going on socially and politically when those films were made and it's just undeniably kickass to me that she portrayed such dynamic characters at a time when the world really needed to see them.

I had a lot of fun drawing and cutting this stencil. Even though Pam's characters were usually great with a gun, I'm just too sick of seeing and thinking about guns these days to draw one. She was always capable enough with her hands, so I decided to depict her with her dukes up.

She was sprayed in red, reflective gold, and black spray paint. The background is grey/cream acrylic washes over distressed text.

16" x 20" canvas with the hanging hardware attached!

*Please understand that while I do my absolute best to match the colors in the photo to the actual painting, no two monitors are the same and there may be a very slight color variation. If you have any questions or would like to see additional photos please let me know.
