This listing is for a vintage King "Liberty" model trumpet made by H.N. White Co. The serial number 154,727 indicates a c.1932 production date. It has awesome art deco style engraving on the bell. This is a rare 'rimless' bell version. This is said to produce a freer tone.

Apparently, this trumpet can switch from the key of Bb to A. I'm not 100% sure that all of the slides are there to do that though, so please check the pictures carefully. The 3rd valve slide has two sections, but the 1st and 2nd valve slides only have one section. I would have thought they'd all have two sections, but maybe it's supposed to be like that. If anyone could confirm one way or another I'd love to know for sure. Also, the main slide seems as if it has a second section, but I'm not able to remove it.

This instrument is being sold as is for parts or restoration. It is not currently in proper playing condition. It is in generally good physical condition but will certainly require some work to be made playable. There are no major dents, but there are a number of minor dings/pings, including on the 2nd valve slide. The edge of the bell is slightly wavy. I was able to remove all of the pistons and lower valve caps. The pistons move freely and rebound quickly, but they definitely need lubrication, and possibly additional work. They feel a little 'spongy' to me. This horn has what looks to be original lacquer. There is scratching, scuffing, and wear throughout, but overall it looks quite good for its age. The lacquer has turned to a dark honey hue. This horn comes in a modern plastic shell case. The case is in very good condition. The interior is clean and odor free. It is missing one bumper from the exterior though. There is no mouthpiece, and no other accessories included.
