A fine Lancashire arm chair Circa 1700 and constructed from chestnut and oak.
The top shaped and carved top rail flanked by two pyramid type finials, with a finely turned bobbin and collar back, the shaped arms supported by square uprights forming the legs which are joined by peripheral stretchers, the front stretcher being of turned bobbin form.
The chair has had some old restorations, commensurate with age but overall is in excellent condition and has a fantastic patina.
