This listing is for a vintage King alto saxophone made by the H.N. White Co. (Cleveland, Ohio). It is a series II Zephyr model. This was a pro level horn of its day. The series II Zephyr features a double wall neck tenon, triple strap ring, and awesome art deco style engraving. The serial number on this one is 202,xxx. It was made in c.1937.

This horn is in very good playing condition. As you can hear in the demo video linked above, it plays easily from top to bottom. A leak light inspection reveals all pads are sealing properly with a light touch. Of course you may want to have it tweaked to your preferences, but most players will find it to be satisfactory just as it is.

This horn is also in very good physical and cosmetic  condition. The body is straight, and the neck has not been pulled down. There are a number of minor pings, and possibly some past dent work, on the bow, but no significant dents or dings. The bow guard has not been pushed in. The rim of the bell has not been bent. I don't see any obviously re-soldered joints. The lacquer coverage is nearly 100%, with minimal scratching. I think this is probably an old, but very well done, relacquer. The engraving is still nice and sharp. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly. The rollers are all turning. The pads are older, but still in excellent condition. The leather is still soft, supple, and clean. They create a nice 'pop' as the keys are depressed

This horn comes in an older replacement case. It is a hard, wood shell case. The case is also in very good condition. The interior is clean and odor free, with minimal wear and tear. There are just a few minor scuffs on the exterior.

There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included, except for the original metal end plug.
