Unfortunately so far no one has been able to get mega live to work consistent with the bird. Some got it working ice fishing but only in the down position. When they tried to do a horizontal scan it would freeze. If you want to try it you can but you will have to pay for return shipping if you decide to return it within 30 days of receiving it.

If your looking for a more compact switch but still want 5 ports then look no more.

This Teeny guy is only 6 inches wide at the base (25% smaller then it’s big brother the bird) It’s compact size allows you to install it in the tightest places.

Teen version has 5 ports with leds to show port activity and connectivity. No more guessing if your cables are connected or open.

Includes 3 custom cables up to 15 feet long each and your choice of terminations.

Couldn’t justify paying top dollar for a humminbird network switch. So I built my own using a good quality modular Ethernet switch I branded it The Teen Bird. It worked so well I built a few of them to sell. So far all sold birds are working flawlessly. The box is modular plug and play design. If it fails it’s just a matter of unplugging the switch board and plugging in a new one.

I am selling them faster then I can build them. If you don’t see it listed it just means I am in the process of building more.

Buy the teen bird and you will be hummin a tune all the way to the bank.

Installation:

Mount switch in a protected area like under console or fuse bay.

Connect (included) power cable to your fuse block or connect directly to 12 volt power block or battery.

With power button in the off position (power light off),

Connect Ethernet cables from your devices to the switch.

Power the switch by pressing the power button (switch lights up)

Turn on your units and accessories and verify connectivity to each other.

Note led lights will flash to indicate the hub has detected a device on its port. If the light stays off it could mean the cable is defective or the unit you are connected to has no power. It may take up to a minute for your units to establish communication with connected devices.

To check connectivity go to your accessory test screen and check all connected accessories are showing connected. To verify that the head units see each other go to your network setup screen and tab to the gps screen. All your connected fishfinders should be listed.
