This is a vintage made edmund scientific telescope mount,
it is quite large, heavy duty made for larger scopes.
It is painted a flat gray in crinkle finish, looks like original paint. The scope base is marked C2058, while the shaft is marked B2089,
it has quite a few extra gears as pictured, as well as being motorized,
All seems original as well as the gears, even though the motor looks to be an add on by someone at one point! the motor cover has a small dent in it, I have plugged it in, and hums away just fine, looks like it is working but untested further.
not sure if this is a prototype made by the factory or?
I have placed a standard size aluminum can next to the mount for size comparison. It comes with two weights.
The actual "tripod" mount measures about 3 1/8" across, on the inside,
the saddle measures about 13 inches long and about 4 1/2 inches across and is made to accomodate a cope 7 or 8 inches across.
It comes with two counterweights! the gears look good and have good teeth, the gears turn smooth.
