Crowned bust of Duke facing left.

Script: Latin

Lettering: ✠ FRANCISCVS + D + G + LOTHOR + B + Z + GLD + D

Translation: Francis, by the grace of God, Duke of Lorraine, Bar, Zutphen and Guelders.

Reverse

Crowned shield with nine-fold coat of arms. Date in exergue.

Script: Latin

Lettering:
MONETA + NANCEII + CVSA
1545

Translation: Coin made in Nancy.
