Rare Steiff Roloplan Model 90/2

The Steiff Roloplan (Kite) was made in various models and versions by the Steiff Company in Wurttemburg Germany from 1909 until 1968.

This very rare No. 90/2 complete with about a 22” long carrying bag with button in the ear and instructions.  I think it dates from 1950 or a little earlier based on the button but any Roloplan with the original carrying case is extremely hard to find…If you are a serious Steiff ( or Kite) collector, you know what this item is all about.  It is too scarce to actually play with so I’d recommend you display it unassembled just as is and perhaps frame the curled up instructions…On the other hand..I suppose once it’s yours, you can do anything you want with it!!
