75CT 100% Natural Cripple Creek Polychrome Turquoise High Dome Cabochon Gemstone.  Shape: Freeform

This stone is a treasure!  Its got the hazy combination of turquoise, red clay and sedimentary matrix but it has small spots of bright blue peeking through in several areas giving you an idea of the majesty that lurks within.  Its nearly solid turquoise and presents in the most subtle of ways.

Besides all the contested history of Cripple Creek, this stone was mined in the 50s and contains all the hallmarks of beautiful Cripple Creek turquoise.  It is stunning and collectible.  My grandfather left me a fair amount of rough but this piece just sums it all up - the most beautiful Cripple Creek, jeweler's grade and cut just for the lucky buyer.

Cripple Creek Mine is from a district of mining operations in Teller County, Colorado.  Although it comes in nodules this is from a very thick vein and is very hard.
