This auction is for a model of the solar system by Eaglemoss.

It is a stunning collector's item for any science enthusiast depicting the moving solar system and its planets in remarkable detail.

It was originally built from parts supplied by Eaglemoss in a weekly magazine.

The model stands 37cm high with a span of 60cm at the widest point.

Some of the model is brass plated steel and the gears are brass. There is an electric motor built into the base.

Unusually, the model has been very carefully disassembled to give the buyer the enjoyment of putting it back together.

I have left one small section (a cog and gear) assembled as to give an idea of how this repeating collection of parts should be correctly done (please see inside bag labeled issue 21-25).

The parts have been painstakingly separated and labelled for you to make the reassembly very much easier than if you were to buy the model from new. Please note, this is not a simple task and not for the faint hearted - it will take a lot of care and patience!

It comes with all of the 52x original magazines which contain assembly instructions. I am also providing two sets of the required allen keys plus a small screwdriver for reassembly.

As to be expected, there are some age related discolouring / slight bubbling to some of the components as would be found on all models of the same age (2006). It also has a few minor scratches here and there but nothing that distracts from it's beauty and these are mainly underneath. Some of the cogs have their identification written in marker pen underneath (i.e. does not show) but this would clean off with the right solution if deemed necessary for your needs.

Coming from a smoke and pet free home.

The only thing it lacks are the temporary nylon feet that are detailed in issue 1 but subsequently removed after assembly. It makes far more sense to use the permanent legs in the first place and you have the advantage of not waiting 50 issue weeks for the permanent feet!
