The following, though similar on many listing, is not merely canned language I use in every listing.  If there are defects not clearly visible in the photos, I say so.  Please see my other listings here!

Card pictured is exact card you will receive.  Card has significant surface and corner wear.  Still, it is intact with decent coloring and centering, and free of any foreign substance or major defect, like ink, paper loss, or tape.  A great way to fill out this nearly 75-year-old classic set at a relatively low price.  Bid with confidence, as I offer free returns (other than S&H) on raw vintage (1980 and earlier) cards.

Interesting fact: Torgeson played 15 seasons in the big leagues, usually a little less than an everyday player.  But in 1950, he was the ultimate everyday player, appearing in each of the Braves' 156 games and leading the league in plate appearances (707) and runs (120).  He also hit 23 home runs, drove in 87 runs, and walked 119 times against only 69 strikeouts.  Combined with a .290 batting average, he had an OPS of .885 and an OPS+ of 138.  His 5.9 WAR was by far the highest of his career (though his 4.2 the next year was no slouch).  He earned 27th-place MVP votes, though his season WAR was higher than all but seven players ahead of him.

Check out my other listings for more interesting baseball facts!  I am selling about 2/5ths of the 1950 Bowman set.

Card will be shipped in a stamped envelope.  It will be encased in a penny sleeve and fully protected by my signature method of using old playing cards taped together.  I have found this to be a very effective way to ship ungraded, low-value cards, and have received no complaints.  S&H fee intended to accurately reflect cost of USPS shipping, plus materials.  However, if final sale price is $15 or greater, card will be shipped in a penny sleave, between cardboard, and in a bubble mailer at no additional cost.  If making multiple purchases at approximately the same time, please contact me to discuss reduced cost of combined S&H.
