Resto Tamiya 956...

This is a restored roller with custom chassis plates I made on a CNC router. The material is 1/16 g10 with a matte linen finish. It needs the OEM rear shock setup, or a conversion for a thin oil shock like from vintage Bolink cars. Also needs body mounts and metric front screws if you use the OEM aluminum front posts.

I used Tamiya re-re wheels, high grip rear tires in both front and rear, narrowed the front to fit, but they are taller then stock fronts. It sits a little higher in the front, but you can either true them down to match OEM specs, or replace with front tires.

Full sealed bearings, new nuts and screws, new aluminum shock mount, new front pins and springs, dyed used gears and dyed used steering arms / front axles. The gears were a little chewed up so I spent time filing / sanding the teeth. Front arms are original, good condition.

I polished the used motor mounts and rear connecting tube. I used a new Tornado rear shaft, new re-re front bumper and battery strap clips, aftermarket adjustable battery straps, and black anno aluminum stand offs for the top and bottom plates.

I built a few of these, just selling this one to recoup some money. If you are installing the OEM speed controller and switch, you might have to open the mounting holes a little bit. I use a round mini file to open screw holes if they are too small. Its a great start to a project. I had one as a kid and they were alot of fun.

If you need replacement chassis plates, top deck, bottom deck or rear suspension, let me know and I can prepare a set for you here on Ebay.
