This is the Mac version of Ripper (1996). It comes on 6 CDs. The game is new, never used, in the original big box edition packaging. It includes a very helpful player guide.

This is a vintage Mac game from 1996.  This would have placed it in the PowerPC realm with Mac OS 7.5 and usable  through OS version 9. Early versions of OS  X provided a translator to run OS 9 software. Please do your research as to the vintage Mac that you plan to use. This will not likely run on modern day MacOS.

This game was created back in the time before CGI characters became the norm. Real actors were used to film a virtual movie.
The cast includes Christopher Walken, Paul Giamatti, Karen Allen, Burgess Meredith (in his final performance before his death the following year), David Patrick Kelly, Ossie Davis, and John Rhys-Davies. It also uses the Blue Öyster Cult song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper".

Ripper is an interactive movie puzzle adventure game developed and published  by Take-Two Interactive for Mac and Windows. The villain of the game is chosen at random from the four main characters. A limited number of the clues and puzzles, plus a single line of dialogue in the ending, change according to the villain's identity.

Heres the play action. A serial killer is on the loose in futuristic New York City. Nicknamed "the Ripper," after the brutal way he leaves his victims, the murder suspect is now contacting you about his grisly deeds. As a reporter for the Virtual Herald, you must investigate crime scenes, speak with law enforcement and witnesses, and try to make sense of the cryptic communication from the killer himself. Gameplay is broken down into three distinct phases. The first involves exploring rooms to inspect items, discover clues, and solve puzzles. The second consists of questioning full-motion video characters superimposed over static backgrounds, while the third phase has your character exploring the realm of cyberspace in first-person shooting sequences.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Make sure you have a vintage Mac that will run this sofware because there are no returns. Thanks for looking.
