Vasilika Black  is , a dwarf tree here in NJ,self fruitful ,has a tight eye,and will not sour easy,when rain,while getting ripe, has ornamental leaves,and does not require spraying of any kind.

It manage to get ripe here in NJ, after Sept.15,(being planted in ground), tho,his country of origin,(Greece) provide much better sunshine and heat,and of course it will ripe in August there.

If someone wants earlier ripe fruits,in cold climates,plant this one in pot,in Full Sun,using semi buried pot method.

I planted one in pot for myself,in 2017,for the same reason,: to get early ripe fruits!

Fig trees are easy to grow and will produce fruits organically,where other fruit trees need a lot of fungicide and pesticide to do so.

1. A fig tree,in 10 Gal.pot,will ripe,100 delicious fruit,,every year,even in the coldest parts of USA,if kept inside in the Winter,and placed,in full Sun, outside in the Spring.
2. Out of 100+ cultivars,only about 20,produces delicious fruits,anywhere they are grown, the rest produces good ,edible fruits,in Mediterranean climates only,and barely edible,outside ideal climate.
3. I have grown most of them, and Vasilika  Black, is part of those 20 Winners,here ,on east coast.
