In my possession for the past couple of decades and more, one complete G-Plan bedroom suite dating to the late 1950s. This was the top of the range that G-Plan offered at the time, featuring
- Double bed (standard size 54" x 75") with a nice tapered base design that minimises visual bulk when you add a mattress to it.
- Detachable vinyl padded headboard (slightly discoloured) and its attached side tables complete with very Mod sheet glass shelves "floating" above them. Roughly 95" wide
- Double wardrobe with concertina doors (and a tie rack that is of the period and may be original). The wardrobe can be dismantled to ease transport, 48" wide, 67" high, 22" deep.
- Twin pedestal dressing table (50" x 18") and vinyl padded stool.
- Chest of drawers, 38" wide, 18" deep and 30 1/2" high.
As with all G-Plan furniture these items are all made of solid wood properly fitted together with dovetailed joints. All items are in good sound vintage condition for their age, but it should be noted that these are all over 60 years old so they do show wear in places. The top of the dressing table is worn and its mirrors have spots of discolouration, some of the brass fittings show discolouration and there are various nicks and chips out of the paintwork that I have tried to show in the photos. From a smoke free home. Thanks for looking and good luck!
Obviously these items will need to be collected from rural Aberdeenshire, postcode AB23 8YA. You can get quotes from competing couriers at Shiply.com
