I usually don't sell classic car parts, but I ran across this mirror in a box of other vintage items that I bought, so I am throwing it up for auction.
It is an old Nash Rambler mirror in the metal housing. The R logo is featured on the middle of the piece.
The mirror glass which has a chip is still in the housing and does not seem to be loose.
Please enlarge the images to study the condition.
This has not been polished, I cleaned it with a magic eraser and water because it has some paint overspray on it, a lot of it came off but more cleaning/polishing will be needed to get rid of the rest.
The finish looks like chrome over pot metal,
I am not positive of the specific metal.
There is pitting and wear and there is a chip to the mirror glass (see images)
I don't have the arm, or any other attaching parts for this. I don't know for sure what model or model year this fits. I found a similar one for a 1952 ambassador or classic Rambler online, but that is in no way a guarantee of fit.
Basically you're bidding on a paperweight, unless you know this will work on your vehicle but it's a very cool piece of automotive memorabilia ( if nothing else )
I can offer no guarantee of fit or function on this piece.
Measures approximately:
5 7/8" across the widest part of the top horizontally (back metal side)
5" across at the bottom (back metal side)
3 3/8" high/ top to bottom
The hole is approximately 7/8" across the opening.
Feel free to message with questions and I'll try to provide whatever additional info that I can.
Thanks for looking!
