This is a listing for a Hard-to-Find Large Vintage Original FOSTORIA Glass Company Leather Bound Portfolio for advertising with pockets inside for a Salesman. This was for the promotion of the Golden Jubilee of the company in 1937, it is dated. This is a very large Folio and would have been impressive to the Fostoria Dealer to see. This was from the first half of 1937, as it talks of a "Chapter Two" version would be released on July 1. This was a "Dealer Help" item, part of the advertising campaign. Inside, there are gold pockets with separate word promotional text. One pocket refers to Jean Abbey and the Radio Promotion of the time. The bound Folio is padded pebbled leather, with the gold embossing which reads "Fostoria". The first clear plastic page has wrinkles as well as the first cardboard page has discoloration, as seen. This is a fantastic item for the collector who loves the items produced by Fostoria in this time period. I have provided some example pictures of this item. This was made for the Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia, USA and was retrieved from the factory archives after the factory closed.
This is in used vintage condition with age spots, appropriate to its age and shows signs of handling. Wrinkling on the first page, some discoloration and a few of the pages are partially loose.
This measures approximately 12" by 14 3/4" by 1 3/8".
