This vintage Panasonic RF-2200 shortwave radio is a great find for any enthusiast. With 8 bands and a range of features, this radio is sure to impress. Made in Japan and part of the Panasonic product line, you can be sure of its quality.

However, this radio does need some work. It's a great project for anyone who loves vintage electronics and wants to restore this classic piece. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history.

If you're looking at this, you know these are great radios. This one, however,  requires some work.  It's been stored for about 20 years in my climate-controlled basement.  I recently extracted it from the box and planned to fire it up. The first issue I noticed is that it will not power up when using the ac cord. I suspect that the power supply cap(s) may be faulty.  It powered up fine with the batteries, but the SW frequencies are very faint. The FM audio has plenty of volume and is undistorted. I removed the back hoping to spray some contact cleaner into the switches and pots, but they're really not accessible. It was then that I decided to sell my beloved radio.

Cosmetically, it's gorgeous and solid. I'd say it's well worth the effort to bring it back to spec; I just don't need another project.  There is the slightest evidence of battery corrosion on the left side positive terminal. As the original owner,  I assure you that it was stored without batteries. This occurred prior to long-term storage. As a devout capitalist, I'm starting the bidding at $0.99 and will let the market determine its value.  If I feel ambitious, I'll post a video of it. Bid now; friendly, naked operators are standing by to take your bids.
