A magnificent antique Victorian era wool Paisley shawl, large and in good, clean shape.  Dates to the 1860s to 1870s.  Pure soft wool in the classic Paisley patterns of Kashmir, India.  Made in Scotland.  Colors are a pretty shade of red (not as orange as it looks in my photos, it is a cherry red), with golds, black, orange, green and blues in the gallery and border.  Large pines and scrolls, really a beautiful shawl.  Black center.
