This beautiful, vintage,1920s, art deco, flapper dress/jacket ensemble is made in rich velvet and silk chiffon in colors of rich, deep gold and bright, periwinkle blue.

The dress has the typical 20s drop waist style and has gathered, balloon style, long, silk chiffon sleeves. The  dress front from the waist up is also silk chiffon.  The sides of the dress have wings in the same matching velvet as the body of the dress that come forward from the sides to simulate the fronts of a jacket and are sculpted from the rolled shawl collar in the same velvet fabric with matching silk chiffon linings. There are six very small and ornate, heavy, brass decorative buttons sewn onto each flap front to weight the jacket wings so they hang nicely.  The back upper half of the dress looks like it is a jacket as it has a blouson hemline, so a skirt or dress appears to be under the jacket.  The outfit is expertly cut and crafted, absolutely beautifully made.  75% of the dress is stitched by hand.  The long silk chiffon sleeves are caught at the wrists with narrow matching devore velvet cuffs. They close with simple snaps. There is no zipper and no side snaps.  The dress simply pulls on over the head along with the under dress.

The condition is excellent.  Please see the condition report above.
