This is a very unusual Code 3 production from Guild Master Models 1:72 scale Foden which has been radically transformed into a Cobb and Son Heavy Haulage Foden Steam Tractor unit with trailer combination. 

Based on the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y-27 1922 Foden Steam Lorry. The model is made of diecast metal finished in black with very good and detailed decals making it a great addition and eye catching model for any collection. The trailer has a log load. Sadly there is no information about the producer of this code 3 model other than the mass of gold stickers on the box.

This is a limited edition and is No 55 of 100. It would make a great gift for anyone who loves diecast and steam vehicle models.

The matchbox brand is known for its quality and attention to detail. However, with the code 3 conversion and additions this quirky yet attractive model is surely a must-have for collectors of Steam themed memorabilia.

Note: I wasn't sure if this style of Foden ever existed. Following some research it seems it did and I have attached an image of a very similar Foden for interest purposes only and is not part of this sale.

The box is in fair condition with a few scuffs, covered in gold stickers and missing the official Matchbox insert.

The item is suitable for ages 17 and up.
