Charles "Teenie" Harris (American/Pittsburgh, 1908-1998) Gelatin silver print photograph made from original negative, unknown title, depicts a young african american woman being attended to by two beauticians in a beauty parlor. Unsigned. Framed in metal frame under glass. Measures 18in x 15in framed and 14in width x 11in height image only. Condition: discoloration to image as seen in photos. From 1936 to 1975 Harris chronicled life in the black neighborhoods of Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Courier one of America's oldest black newspapers.
