Nice and colourful art deco centerpiece from Fyens Glasværk, Denmark in the period 1910-1924.
A derivation of the bride's baskets and only a fashion in Denmark only for a very short period.

Opalescent milk glass (opaline glass) with overlay of both uranium glass and pink glass in a slightly more modern design than the usual crimped rim.
Foot of nickel-plated light metal.

CONDITION

Looks incredibly decorative. Have no chips or cracks. A few, barely visible small scratches from use and a few irregularities in the glass within the normal range (see pictures).  
The nickel plating of the center screw  is a bit scratched.

GLOW

Medium uranium glow for opaline glass. Picture taken under 395nm uv light source.

URANIUM GLASS

Uranium glass is typically greenish or yellow (vaseline glass) and lights up in a nice neon green colour in UV light.
It was mainly produced from 1850-1942. Uranium oxide or sodium diuranate has been used as colourant and normally contains up to a few percent uranium.

SHIPPING

Will be packed and shipped very carefully, wrapped in layers of protection and bubble plast.
