SADLER FINE ENGLISH TEAPOTS AMERICAN BI-CENTENARY 1776-1976 LIBERTY BELL CUBE

Larger size Sadler cube teapot commissioned to commemorate the bi-centenary of the American War of Independence. 

Wonderful condition still with Sadler paper label. It has the date on both sides and on one side a banner saying American Bi-Centenary 1776 - 1976, on the other side a banner saying "Proclaim Liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof". 

Both sides have crossed weaponry, flags and drums and, at the forefront, The Liberty Bell. Coloured in red, white and blue, and some brown. 

The pot is gilded on the embossed shaping, handle, spout and finial. 

Underneath it says: " 

This exclusive design has been commissioned by James Sadler and Sons Ltd of England to commemorate the bi-centenary of the American War of Independence 1776 -1976. An asset to any Sadler or teapot collection or just to take tea on 4th July!
