Classic "never obsolete" retro gaming PC in fully working and upgraded condition, with all changed parts included in case you want to bring it back to factory condition (except hard drive).

 - I have upgraded the 566MHz Celeron to an 800MHz Pentium III.
 - RAM has been upgraded from 32MB to 256MB.
 - I didn't have the original hard drive, so I have installed an 80GB Maxtor drive with perfect SMART status.
 - I have installed a dual boot of Windows 98 and XP.
 - I have upgraded the onboard Intel graphics by installing a brand new NVIDIA GeForce FX5500 256MB Graphics Card - this gives it some decent power, as well as DVI support.
 - I have added a USB 2.0 card giving 4 ports at the rear and 2 ports internally.
 - Fresh thermal paste and new CMOS battery, cleaned internally and externally.

There are a few marks here and there and some yellowing to the plastic, but otherwise in excellent condition. There was some surface rust to the bottom left but it's purely cosmetic and I have removed what I can with a wire brush. The front USB port is damaged (but works), but is also slower than the add-on card so I would avoid it.

The onboard sound card works fine in XP and 98, but I was having issues getting DOS game support. It might be resolved with drivers, but I think just putting a discrete card in would be a better solution if you want this.

I have pre-installed several games including Age of Empires, Dune 2000, Quake 1, 2, 3, Red Alert 2, Crystal Caves, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen. Quake 3 Timedemo at 1024x768 was over 60fps which is very playable and gives an idea of performance.

If you have a specific game you need to know will run, let me know and I can install and test in advance.

“Used” means tested and working and only sold if I would be happy using it myself. That means fresh thermal paste and batteries if needed and no swollen capacitors, temporary reflow fixes or stability issues. My high feedback and exceptionally low return rate speaks for itself.

All photography is my own and screenshots are taken during the testing process, so you will get exactly what is seen.

If you need cables for what you are buying, I am usually happy to include them free of charge - just leave a note during purchase.
