Here we have a large Royal Navy Bronze Ships Bell off the WW2 Admiralty trawler MFV 1020.

“1020” was a Motor Fishing Vessel of the MFV 1001 class built for the Admiralty during WW2 by Richard Irvin & Sons (Peterhead, Scotland). She was laid down in 1943 and commissioned in 1944 and was used as a stores tender during the later stages of the war, supplying ships at station in Plymouth Sound.

The bell is in good used condition and is fitted with a decorative bell rope. The flaire of the bell is 10” in diameter x 11” high and the letters/numbers are cast into the bell and are traditionally painted red.

Ding Dong!
