Beautiful Vintage/Antique 10k Gold Filled Two Photo Round Locket Pendant

Vintage clasp has a small open cut cross.

No maker's mark.

Age: estimated 1900 - 1920

Condition: Very good, shows typical use in the form of scratching and wear of plating.

Locket opens & closes nicely. Stays closed. Hinge is in great shape. Note the ends of the hinge could be a little sharp for young or sensitive hands. This is per the design and not an indication of wear. 

I believe there is a missing small circle "frame" that goes inside the top half of the locket to help keep photos in. There was a photo in this when I got it, but not in the section missing this circle.

Clasp on chain is very basic, works well. Chain shows wear with plating rubbed off toward clasp.

Material for locket and shell shaped ring is 10K yellow gold filled or better per testing. Not marked on pieces. Metal under this is silver tone. I did not test for silver, but it did brighten with polishing.

Material for chain was not tested. Most likely brass with gold plating.

Area intended for monogram or name was never engraved.

Locket is 1" in diameter, thickness when closed is .16 in.

Chain is apx 16" long
