VINTAGE Baroque by Wallace Silversmiths #281 Silverplate 10" Teapot Tea Pot

*Sometimes referred to as "Grande Baroque," though I'm not sure that's 100% accurate.*

Silverplate holloware at its finest!  This now-discontinued pattern, with its timelessly elegant pairing of floral & paisley, dates back to 1941. It's virtually impossible to find definitive information about the base metal (I've tried!), but I'm inclined to believe it's silver on steel.  This combo has been Wallace's centuries-old specialty & furthermore, it feels super solid & quite heavy!  Engraved "Baroque by Wallace" & 281, with a hand engraved 176 below that.

The teapot has been polished to a high shine & is immaculate! Normal wear with very faint 2 1/2" x 1/32" scuffs along each side.  See photos. Hinge, handle & feet are sturdy & intact.
