This is a fabulous, authentic, 940 sterling silver, unusual carving knife signed by Hector Aguilar. 

The entire knife measures 15.50" and the blade is 10 5/8".

I am guessing the curved blade is made of carbon steel and it is signed Taxco, made in Mexico, & with the HA hallmark of Aguilar.

The handle is made of 940 silver (slightly higher grade of sterling which is 925) & has a wooden panel as pictured. 

I believe the pattern is called Aztec & has great detailing.

The handle is marked with the hallmark, 940, Taxco and the eagle mark as pictured.
