- key slugs cleaned as well as each of the arms of the key slugs
- ribbon selector and ribbon spool operation inspected, cleaned and lubricated/adjusted as needed
- alignment of lettering upper and lower case checked and adjusted as needed
- uppercase shift lock checked and adjusted as needed
- backspace, margin release and tab checked and adjusted if needed
- line spacing checked
- paper tray, paper feed rollers, and paper feeding and release checked
- end of margin bell operation checked
- case cleaned inside and out, hinges and closing mechanism checked
- typewriter is given a check of operations prior to packaging for shipment
