1988-1992 Kurt Cobain Nirvana Guitar Pick Picks Pic Plectrum Vintage Dunlop Tortex

STOP PAYING $$$$$ on eBay for "Real Kurt Cobain used" guitar picks. MOST sold on eBay are complete B.S. and here's why: 

Nirvana used Dunlop Tortex .60 mm orange picks. Nirvana NEVER had any custom guitar picks made. EVER. This has been verified by Nirvanas guitar tech. Nirvana had their picks ordered (bought) directly from American Music (AM) in Seattle, WA. Back in the late 1980s-early 90s AM would have these EXACT SAME brand new Dunlop guitar picks in stock or would have ordered them directly from Dunlop and this is the EXACT pick they would be given.

Here's where the fun begins: Dunlop has changed their Tortex printing (branding) a few times since it's inception in 1981. When Dunlop went to the "turtle" (Tortex) logo in the early/mid 1980s this is the branding used (see pick A)

Around 1992/93 Dunlop changed their branding to (see pick B) a smaller printing font. 

Around 2000s Dunlop changed their branding to (see pick C) a even thinner printing font. This is the current branding logo used today.

To understand what changed on the logo and to know how to tell what years the pick is from look at the yellow arrows. The printing lines up from the U in U.S.A directly THROUGH the middle of the U in DUNLOP on the (A) and (B) picks. The (C) pick lines up BETWEEN the U and N on DUNLOP. This is the easiest way to determine what years the pick was made.There are other small changes like the size of the .60 mm font from larger and wider (A) to smaller in (B) and very thin in (C).

What does this all mean? If anybody claims to have a real Kurt Cobain pick that is the same font as pick (C) it is BS!! 

A "real" pick would be pick (A) and (B) ONLY!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!

So would you like to put a brand new old vintage stock Dunlop pick in your collection? This is the EXACT pick Kurt used through 1992-93. To even find almost 40 year old vintage brand new old stock Tortex picks in mint condition is UNHEARD OF!!! Stop the insanity of paying $$$$$ for these supposedly "real stage used" picks on eBay.
