These simple but elegant earrings feature a regal vermeil crown with a tiny central cross motif in our popular studio finish of 18kt yellow gold over sterling silver. We hung these richly detailed crowns upside down under a trio of pearls: two petite cream pearls embracing an oval bronze pearl. We chose a satin finish without antiquing for a truly elegant look. Earwires are gold filled. They measure 2” long. Earrings are nice and lightweight!

Gates of Paris is a unique collection of handmade jewelry by designer David Maurer, based on classic French and European designs. We travel the byways of Europe, visiting old jewelry manufacturers and seeking out molds and findings that haven't been used for over a century. Most of our pieces come from original molds made in France and England between 1830 and 1910. We re-cast them by hand in a wide variety of finishes. On a scouting trip in Paris, we uncovered a magnificent trove of 19th century molds and findings hidden away in a remote corner of an ancient warehouse. These repousée pieces are amazingly detailed, reflecting the highest standard of French craftsmanship. You just can't get this quality in the U.S. Most of these items have not seen the light of day for at least 80 to 100 years! We have selected the best pieces for casting in silver and various golds. Each is then polished and specially finished, and embellished with unique combinations of top-quality semi-precious gems. The result is a hybrid modern/classical jewelry that exudes timeless French chic and panache. All jewelry is completely original to our collection and cannot be found elsewhere!

NOTE: If you don't see the specific combination of finish, stone, or chain with any of our castings, please ask. We offer all our designs in 14k or 18k solid gold (yellow, white or rose) as well as sterling silver, PLUS Rose, Yellow, Chocolate and Green Gold Vermeil (18k gold plated over sterling silver). We also carry a wide selection of stones and pearls, many of unusual shape, size and color.
