Item Description:

This ebay listing is for the sale of a CD ROM publication Titled:

 American Locomotive Catalogue, 1915.

Railroad Catalog 1917 and Railway Book for the Panama Pacific Exposition - San Francisco 1915

This wonderful tomes with great illustrations of what is surely THE locomotive manufacturer
are wonderful!

To be clear, this is about STEAM LOCOMOTIVES

Their designs, models, capacities - the ones Made by American Locomotive Company (ALCO)

If you are a locomotive buff, then you already know about ALCO - American Locomotive Company.

They changed the world with their engineering and vision of providing locomotive power to make
a new age for humanity, and their designs are still being made and used around the world, long
after ALCO ceased making Steam Locomotives.

Much of India and China runs on designs derived from ALCO designs and a few outright copies.

The books, full of beautiful drawings and amazing specifications are for us Engineering and Railroad geeks
frankly amazing!

For the historical or casual buff, they are simple really nice pics and interesting stats.

Two volumes here, Catalog 10051 (more specs and pics) and Panama Pacific Expo (more engineering plan and drawing and smaller tome) Are both wonderful.

Railroads were the technology leading the way into a new future, and manufacturers guarded their designs, specifications, and tradecraft zealously and jealously.

Now you can have one with a few clicks of the mouse, amazing!

These are great for identification, for printing out for wall prints, or looking up the specs on locomotives and settling those old bets - and of course, if you are a buff, like us, you just got to have them anyhow.

Presented in easy to view PDF file format.

Allows Zoom-in up  to enlarge sections of the map for easy reading.
