Salvaged schoolhouse chalkboard slates - framed with salvaged CHESTNUT beadboard.
Original varnish - we have created these with in the concept of a cheese tray.
The wooden boards have been cleaned and polished with Scott's Liquid Gold. The surface of the slate has a sealer (sold in kitchen stores that sell granite) applied to the top so that food can be used on the surface.
The slate and wood frames all have their unique salvaged charactesitcs & qualities - there are some with darker varnish on the boards, and the slate pieces also have different wear marks. I have shown three boards in the pictures here - each with different look to them.
These boards measure 23 3/8" x 17.5"
The slate surface is 17.5" x 11.5"
I am selling these individually!
Estimate this piece to be approximately 15#
I can ship this with fed ex ground for $18-31 depending on region. Can be picked up in the Hartford, CT region for free.
