This white 10oz ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of George Harrison's Gibson J-160E.

The hybrid Gibson J-160E was originally released in 1954 as one of the world's first successful ‘electro-acoustic’ models, with built-in pickup and electronics. This model was only available from the United States in 1962 so George and John went together to collect their specially ordered J-160E’s on 10th September 1962 and put them to good use recording Love Me Do, With The Beatles and A Hard Day’s Night.

George’s ‘Jumbo’ has remained with his estate whilst John's was stolen in December 1963 during the Christmas show at the Finsbury Park Astoria Theatre in London.

This is not a photograph, it's hand drawn by George Morgan following extensive research.

The  image has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the home or studio.
