Generally Suggested Use: for adults, doses vary from 100 mg (0.1 gram) to more than 12 grams daily for different purpose. Vitamin B5, or pantothenic acid, is vital for normal physiological functions. Pantothenic acid is a precursor to form coenzyme-A (CoA), and is critical in the metabolism and synthesis of carbohydrate, proteins, and fats. It is thus a necessary factor for Kreb’s cycle of energy production. As one of B vitamin, B5 is also required for the production of steroids and neurotransmitter. The production of neurotransmitter acetylcholine needs B5. This vitamin is also important in the management of healthy cholesterol and triglyceride level. B5 is also widely used in hair care products and emollients. It is great in shampoo, toners, and lotions for moisturizing effect, to make hair easier to comb, to reduces hair splitting, and to improves the condition of damages hair.
