A Very Nice 6 1/2 inch woofer, 125 watts RMS and at 6 ohms,
it makes a Great Speaker for Car or Home Use.
With a rubber surround, and very stiff paper cone, it is made to perform and last.

The maker of this speaker isn't known, the dealer we bought them from believed they were made for Altec. I don't know about Altec Lansing, but do know that it is a very nice 6.5" driver.
I carry a lot of Polk Audio speakers, and candidly it looks to be made by the same Chinese speaker company. I base this on the overall look, quality of workmanship and sound, lets put it this way. I would not be surprised if it was the same company who makes Polk speaker components.
This is an amazing 6.5" woofer, it hits harder than any other 6 1/2" woofer I have heard. It is better than the majority of 8" drivers and many 10" woofers for bass output. I am using it in several of our kits including the Mavin 6 Pack. In that configuration it will make your ear drums flutter it plays so low.
I also have it in two more kits, a Compact Sealed Cabinet design, and a Ported Studio Monitor. Both give you more bass output that the 6.5" woofer in other systems produce. The secret to producing so much bass seems to be in the extra mass added by the Power Bass Center Cap. This woofer plays and sounds much larger than its size class.
Use it in your home system, or in your car, this woofer will make a big difference in the sound quality ( for the better ) of any system it is added to. As a replacement, or as in a new project.
This particular speaker got me thinking about and lead to the design of our Mavin 6 Pack. Or as one customer called it, the Meet your Neighbors Speaker System.
You can't go wrong with this little woofer. It will work and work well in a 4, 6, or 8 ohm system.
