carders have a 3 ply rubber backing for durability, attached by a
pressed metal back. 72 point carding cloth (for fine or medium fibres) a
smooth chunky
turned solid wood handle to give good grip which is angled to keep
finger away from the
working surface. All corners are rounded off.
- Weight
of each carder is 110gms. The size is 12cm x 8cm. These are slightly
smaller than standard size carders which makes them lighter and easier
to use meaning you can get more carding done without getting aching
wrists. Great for all types of wool, silk and other fine fibres

*Please Note: The card cloth wire has a light coating of oil to lubricate it during manufacture. This is normally so light that it is not noticeable. Sometimes the application has been a little more and it can show on the wool. We suggest that you initially use the carders with some "waste" wool just to make certain the wire is cleaned off.
