Rare antique solid bronze bookends from the Sigma Tau fraternity, possibly at Oklahoma A&M College, made in the early 1900's.

This set of bookends is cast in solid bronze, with each one weighing 4.5 lbs. apiece. The face of each bookend has the Greek letters sigma and tau embossed near the top. Rising from the base is an obelisk with the Greek letter iota on the front face of the pyramid top. At the bottom of the bookend are the letters "O A M C", which I assume stand for Oklahoma A&M College, which became Oklahoma State University in 1959. The backs of the bookends are flat.

Each bookend stands 5.5" tall by 6" wide and 2.5" deep.

These bookends are in very good vintage condition with no noticeable cracks or breaks. There is some whitish stain on the front of one that looks like spray paint, but it could be cleaned off if desired. These are old and rare. Get them for your fraternity or bookend collection.
