An air pouch in the shoulder pad helps by placing a pocket of air between the shoulder strap and the place on your shoulder where it rests while you carry the bag, and a larger air chamber fits into a pocket on the body side of the tote to keep the load from grinding against your hip bone as you move about. A simple solution to an otherwise difficult problem! As for the rest of the bag, every other feature is just as fantastic, from the magnetic button closure that looks like a belt buckle on the front-most pocket, to the huge and roomy interior that features three separate cargo areas (one zippered as a center divider), to the hidden zippered pocket on the body side of the bag's exterior. Made from 100% polyester with stainless steel buckles and grommets, this sturdy bag is large enough to handle a day at the mall, and comfortable enough to not make you regret it!
