MAXIM MAX31855 Quad Channel Thermocouple Interface Board
K-type, J-type or T-type standard, 3.3V-5V Interface!

Description:
The SEN-30003 is a 4-channel 'breakout board' for the MAX31855 digital thermocouple interface ICs by Maxim. Measurement across the full type-specific range with known thermal characteristics and output resolution of 0.25C is provided. We offer two connector options with this board, either type specific (mini TC compatible) or screw terminals. This sensor supports a larger operating range (specifically in the negative range) than its predecessors, the MAX6674 and MAX6675. This board is interfaced with a 0.1" 2x5 pin header (8 pins used) and has four mounting holes for standoffs and 4-40 screws. The mini TC connector option is type-specific, as to provide proper material continuity as close to the IC as possible. This is recommended for precision applications. External references, including application notes, pinouts and schematics can be found by visiting the SEN-30003 Breakout product page on our website. The SEN-30003 is interfaced via 3 or 4-wire SPI with a data-ready output for specific operating modes. An LDO and a high-speed level shifter are included to allow interfacing with microcontroller devices between 3.0V and 5V (all Arduinos, Raspberry PI, etc) without sacrificing device performance (many other level shifters reduce data rates to below 500 kHz).
